Stephan Venekas is a French fine art photographer. Subtle game of lights and colours, obvious passion for aviation, gripping capture of the image, feeling of speed…His work reflects his continuous search for emotions that unveil more than they suggest a new figurative world; an almost unreal idealisation which takes its origins from vertical cities such as Hong-Kong. Moreover, his pictures reveal an obvious fusion between aeronautical science, architecture...
The team at E-Props is currently carrying out its testing campaign for the new range of ground adjustable carbon fibre propellers. Resistance to centrifugal force testing of the hub/blade unit have been completed early this month. Maximum resistance tested was 7.1 Tonnes, which is 4.7 times the maximum centrifugal force. The break down point couldn’t be reached as the hydraulic jack had reached its maximum force before the unit could be broken (around 7 tonnes). Nota Bene: The European CS-P certification requires a minimum resistance of 2 times the centrifugal force, which here would be 3 tonnes; therefore the security factor is above 4.7, read the community notice.
Abysmal ticket sales force event company into liquidation.Hopes for an annual international air show have crash-landed with financial failure after this year's inaugural event. Airshow Systems Ltd, the company behind the New Zealand International Air Show on Auckland's North Shore, was placed in liquidation this week. Chief executive Peter Newport told the Herald on Sunday the Auckland Anniversary Weekend event suffered from dismal ticket sales. Tickets were initially $55 for one-day general admission, and $240 for a VIP three-day pass. General admission for the last day was discounted to $35. Ticket sales barely topped 5000 on the first day. Before the event, promoters hoped for ticket sales of more than 60,000 across three days. Suppliers to the event, who declined to be named, said up to $1 million could be owed across the aviation and hospitality industries. Read the notice.
