The DUC SWIRL propeller was found to have a “constant speed” effect. Thanks to this effect, we have very little variation of the RPM engine between static and dynamic. This propeller allows more performance on the whole of the flight envelope due to:

Better effectiveness on the takeoff and in rates of climb due to higher engine speed
Better cruise speed for a given RPM
Very smooth operating characteristics.

Legal Notice: All DUC propellers have a maximum lifetime limited to 600h on direct drive engines (i.e Jabiru, UL Power, Continental, Volkswagen, Limbach) and 800h on Rotax and HKS engines. Structural guarantee is 6 months from date of payment. Average lead time is 2 months from date of payment.

In the INCONEL version, this propeller has the same advantages as the standard version. The INCONEL SWIRL blade has a very hard Inconel stainless steel insert to protect the leading edge. This propeller is very suited to a hostile environment (sand, gravel, etc....).

This SWIRL Reinforced propeller, in standard or Inconel version, has the same characteristics and dimensions as the DUC SWIRL propeller.

For better rigidity and to avoid a blade distortion due to the engine torque, the SWIRL Reinforced blades feature additional carbon longerons because they are intended to equip with very powerful engines like the VERNER twin-cylinder engine or Jabiru 3300.
